Barbara Bart, CRPC®
Portfolio Advisor, PIA® Program
Barbara’s passion for business and economics began in high school and continued through her college years, propelling her to complete her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia at an early age. Her interests fueled her love for teaching and research as a professor, and continues to serve as the motivation for her second career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Today she is committed to helping successful business owners, executives, professionals and university faculty define and achieve their personal and family financial goals.
Barbara holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor(SM) (CRPC®) designation and serves on the board of directors for the Savannah Estate Planning Council. As a Portfolio Advisor in the Merrill Lynch Personal Investment Advisory® (PIA) Program, she can manage proprietary model portfolios and tailor investment strategies to clients’ unique needs and goals.
Barbara recognizes the sacrifices of a professional practice, the successes and failures associated with business ownership, and the challenges that corporate leadership presents to men and women at various stages of their lives. She appreciates that a successful retirement or business succession plan includes emotional and financial components. An empathetic listener, Barbara gets to know multiple generations of clients’ families and understands what is important to them, their family and their business. She engages in conversations to define what a successful retirement really means and can help clients connect all of the pieces of their financial life to pursue their objectives.
Through her customized wealth management process, Barbara strives to help clients establish a goals-based strategy designed to grow, distribute and preserve their wealth. Backed by the vast resources and investment insights of Merrill Lynch and the banking strength of Bank of America, Barbara can develop strategies for the various life scenarios clients may face, including retirement income planning, education, insurance, philanthropy or wealth transfer issues. She can also provide access to banking and lending services.
