Professional Profile

I am fortunate enough to have more than 20 years of experience in serving the complex wealth management needs of individuals, families, professionals and corporations.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, as well as a Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses and Michigan Life and Health Licenses. In addition, I hold the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

My average individual client relationship has more than $1 million invested and I am accepting new clients with a minimum of $250,000 in combined personal or business-related investable assets.

My approach is to work closely with clients through the Wealth Management Process.

I provide services in the many key areas essential to the successful management of significant wealth, including estate planning services, wealth management, retirement planning, insurance planning and private money management.

The Wealth Management Process includes:

Establish Objectives
I begin by working with my clients to define their personal goals, risk tolerances, priorities, financial situations, objectives and time horizons.
This step helps me build the foundation from which to work with them.
It is essential that this step is revisited periodically to ensure that clients are aware of all the changes taking place and recommend strategies accordingly.

Setting a Strategy
Once I have a good sense of what my clients are hoping to achieve and understand their risk tolerances and time horizons, I can proceed to work with them to develop a wealth management strategy, including an asset allocation strategy that helps to maximize their chances of achieving their objectives.
Developing and sticking to an asset allocation strategy can help lower the effects of market volatility by spreading the risk.

Implementing Advice
Once we have agreed upon strategies to achieve these goals, I propose and implement investment and related strategies consistent with specific needs and strategic asset allocations.

Review Progress
It's vital to monitor the progress of the investments, measure the results against the clients' objectives and work with them on an ongoing basis to make adjustments to address changes in market conditions and personal priorities.
