Marc P. Walsh, CFP® , Senior Vice President, Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, has been a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Houston for the past twenty-eight years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in International Business and Finance (1981). Marc began his investment career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in 1985 where he focused on wealth management strategies and investment advice for ultra high net worth families. He also helps clients focus on estate planning issues and works with their advisors in developing their estate plan. Marc is a Certified Financial Planner(™)and received his certificant, a designation awarded by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc in 2003. During his career, Marc has has served as investment consultant to corporate retirement plans and also charitable foundations and private schools.
Marc is a volunteer pilot and former director for Angel Flight South Central which provides free air transportation for those in need of specialized medical treatment. In 2005, Marc was the recipient of the Security Industry Association (SIA) Good Samaritan Award for his work with Hurricane Katrina relief. In 2008, he was recognized by Registered Rep Magazine and received their Outstanding Advisor Award for his work in charitable aviation. Marc also serves as a trustee for The Post Oak School in Houston, TX. Marc was recently awarded The Financial Times Top 400 Financial Advisors for 2014.
