Martha Gibson has been in the financial services industry since 2001 and joined Merrill Lynch in 2010. Martha draws on over twenty years of experience analyzing economic dynamics, both in her academic career as a tenured professor of Political Economy at the University of Connecticut and prior to that UCLA, and as a financial advisor.
Martha's advisory practice is built on solid relationships that allow her to design roadmaps toward secure and predictable retirements. She crafts prudent wealth acquisition and preservation strategies for each client's unique needs. Client service and individual attention are critical in carrying out each client's goals and adjusting to changes in the economic landscape. Martha specializes in high net worth individuals and family legacy planning, small business retirement plans, and guidance for families with Special Needs.
Martha holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Economy, and a B.A. in Economics. She is a CFPreg; (Certified Financial Planner™, a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.) and holds the CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor(sm)designation as well as the Series 7 and 66 licenses.
She is an avid outdoors person and enjoys golf, tennis, skiing and running. Martha lives in Stonington, CT with her husband and children.
